The CopperDog 150

The CopperDog 150 is the newest winter event to hit the region - a 150-mile sled dog race across the snowy and scenic Keweenaw Peninsula.

More than a thousand people turned out Friday night for the opening ceremony and the start of the race. Warm weather and deteriorating trail conditions forced officials to shorten the course for the final leg on Sunday. Still, this was a very competitive event (the top four finishers were within six minutes of each other). For the final standings and photos, visit the CopperDog 150 website.
