Gavin Rossdale – Love Remains The Same ****1/2 (Album: WanderLust)
Review: If you remember rockin’ to Bush back in the 90’s and you still do it to this day, this new single from Gavin Rossdale is obviously a must. “Love Remains the Same” rises as the newest single from the former lead singer of Bush. As I listen to this song, I like how it comes together musically wise. It also has a message to it, love always remains the same to the ones you love or loved. If you want to think of it as a break-up song or something Hinder would sing, then go ahead and think that…but it’s obviously something more. Rossdale has a sound and a message of his own and I only wish that Bush could come back and give us something we never got. Gavin’s newest album “WanderLust” hits stores June 3rd…if you were a huge Bush fan or want to jump on a bandwagon of any kind, jump on this one and buy his album. You will not be disappointed.

Ashes of Soma – Somebody Else ****1/2 (Album: Exit 674)
Review: When the thing to do now-a-days is get friends together and make a band and then somehow get national radio airplay…it’s obviously priceless! “Somebody Else” is the newest single from this Canadian band called Ashes of Soma. These guys are all over the downstate/Canadian area getting gigs and airplay like it’s nothing, and that’s good for this band. Their sound is unique as it is interesting. I don’t know if it’s just Canadian singers or what, but sometimes they sound kind of nasally and try to hit notes like it’s an Americal Idol audition. Nice guitar solo in the break and the lead singer for Ashes has something going for him…so does the whole band! Their newest and also debut album “Exit 647” is available online and in stores…this is something you might want to check out!

Miser – Zombie ****1/2 (Album: Colors)
Review: There is always good music and always bad music everywhere you look…where do you put Miser??? The good music category! Their latest single is titled “Zombie” and it does NOT qualify itself Zombie-like. Of course this is the second single off of their album (“Zen” being the first) and it basically explains itself in a sense. The lead singer for Miser, Coach, has such an interesting voice that if you were to pick up their album and choose a random song to listen to…you would not put it down for the life of yourself. This song has all goodness to it, but for some reason it strikes me bad a little bit. It has some repetitiveness to it and I’m not sure if it’s the singing from Coach or it’s the beats, but overall…it doesn’t bother me as bad. Miser’s album “Colors” is on the stores shelves and there is nothing bad about going out there and picking up something new and putting it in your library to rock out to!

Alter Bridge – Before Tomorrow Comes ****1/2 (Album: Blackbird)
Review: Mark Tremonti and the boys from Alter Bridge have done it again with their newest single from their recent album. The newest single is titled “Before Tomorrow Comes” and it’s basically got Alter Bridge written all over it. I really don’t know to explain this song, other then saying it’s the same old Alter Bridge but more exciting. The guitar riffs are exciting and of course the singing is the same but yet invigorating at the same time. You would think that the break-up of Creed and the departure of Scott Stapp would bring this band down, but it hasn’t. It actually has risen them to their highest potential and Alter Bridge is BETTER then Creed…and will always be better then Creed. No doubt about it. The newest album is titled “Blackbird” and it is available in stores. Trust me, if you were a Creed fan and hated Scott Stapp…buy this album!

Endeverafter – From The Ashes of Sin ***** (Album: Kiss or Kill)
Review: I’m not really sure how to introduce this song…so I am going to do it like this…HELL F*CKIN’ YEAH!!! Good enough? The newest single from Endeverafter, “From The Ashes of Sin”, is song of the week inside New Music Thursday! This band debuted themselves a couple months ago with their first single “I Wanna Be Your Man” and I wasn’t sure that they were even going to make it on the rock charts real high…well, they proved me wrong. That song hit the Top 20 a couple times and it’s been good ever since, and now it’s time for this song to reach it’s high potential and rise on up! This song is quite amazing, the guitar sounds like A-7-X in a sense and the Drum/Guitar solo in the break…when do you hear something like that anymore? This song has everything you need and you CANNOT disagree with me. “Kiss or Kill” is available to buy or download or anything you need to get your hands on it…Endeverafter doesn’t disappoint.

Kid Rock – Sugar ****1/2 (Album: Rock N’ Roll Jesus)
Review: The fourth single off of Kid’s recent album “Rock N’ Roll Jesus” is not a disappointment in my book! This one is titled “Sugar” and it sounds like some kick-ass sugar to me! I like how Kid Rock starts out this song…like another one of his slow songs that he either rips off Lynyrd Skynyrd or some other band…but then about almost a minute in…it’s time to get some sugar tonight!!! It’s another one of his hard-rockin’ type songs that makes you want to rock out with your wang out! And come to think that at one point I was sick and tired of this album because the only good song on it was “So Hott”…but once again, I was proved wrong. There are now two good songs on this album…but it still needs some improvement there Kid. “Rock N’ Roll Jesus” is available wherever you pick up your music CD’s…it’s obviously for Kid Rock fans out there…but sometimes you have to let one go for awhile until a better one comes along.
