Agent Me – So What **** (Album: Consolation Prize)
Review: There is always at least one time inside New Music Thursday that I find a new band that’s going to be big in the near future...and Agent Me is it of course. Their newest single is titled “So What” and it’s not a so what song in my book. This song has mostly more up’s then it does down’s…the lead singer has a good voice and the band knows how to play. The only down...it’s not as heavy as it should be for their debut single, but that’s my opinion and like I said before, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Overall though, these guys rock and I would definitely want to hear more from them in the future…and maybe they can come around the Michigan area to play live with a good band. Agent Me’s debut album is titled “Consolation Prize” and is available online…I think it’s also available in stores but I highly doubt you can buy their CD up here, but I could be wrong! Check these guys out though…I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Sick Puppies – What Are You Looking For ****1/2 (Album: Dressed Up As Life)
Review: For some reason, when the Sick Puppies came to the U.P. with Chevelle…I really wanted to see them more then Chevelle, isn’t that a little bit sad? The Sick Puppies newest single is called “What Are You Looking For” and I have to say, this is the song that I am looking for. With my comment about them earlier…I really like the way they sound in their songs compared to Chevelle. I mean, Chevelle is more popular and everyone loves their music because mostly everyone is prone to it…but sometimes you need to step outside the box and sometimes go for the smaller guy compared to the bigger one. I mean, if you want to contradict my analogy you can say I’d rather listen to Rush then Breaking Benjamin…but that is different! (I’m not a big Rush fan by the way.) Anyways, the Sick Puppies are a big hit to some these days and they’re a good hit with me. “Dressed Up As Life” is in stores right now…give the smaller guy a chance, it’s worth it!

Endeverafter – Baby Baby Baby ***** (Album: Kiss or Kill)
Review: It hasn’t even been two weeks yet and ALREADY Endeverafter has another single playing…don’t you just love radio? The newest single from these guys is called “Baby Baby Baby” and it is currently the third single off of this album AND is song of the week inside New Music Thursday! I hate to sound like a broken record and obviously I have said that before but when Endeverafter came out with their first single “I Wanna Be Your Man”, I thought these guys weren’t going to get far…but after the 25 th time I have thought and said that, I have been proved wrong every time! This song is awesome in every sense! It’s upbeat rock with a hint of dancing rock which definitely gets you going. (You can take that any which way you want!) Did I mention that these guys can f*cking play?? Well, they can! “Kiss or Kill” which is their newest album is available online and in stores right now. I’ve said this before about these guys and I am going to say it again…Endeverafter does NOT disappoint.

Nine Inch Nails – Discipline **** (Album: N/A)
Review: New instrumental album in stores, new music…and of course, new Nine Inch Nails…gotta love it! Their latest single is titled “Discipline” and this is something that old and new Nine Inch Nails fans can enjoy. If you were to listen to this song, you would probably think to yourself how this is different from any other NIN songs that you have heard in the past…well, for some reason…Trent Reznor (who is the lead singer) has revamped this band and somehow took them out from under the rock they were sitting under for awhile and have brought then back to live with a new song and a new album that isn’t in stores yet. Apparently Nine Inch Nails has a new studio album hitting stores soon according to Trent Reznor…when that is coming out, I do not know. But I do know that their latest instrumental album “Ghosts I-IV” is out in stores right now, so I’d say go ahead and buy that and when their newest album hits stores…you’ll be the first to know! By the way…you can also download this latest single and “Ghosts I-IV” on their website. Check it out!

Puscifer – Dozo *** (Album: V is for Vagina)
Review: Oh Maynard James Keenan…what must we do to you to tell you that you have to stay in one band and STICK WITH IT!!! Puscifer’s newest single is titled Dozo and it’s the second single off of “V is for Vagina”. That’s how weird Keenan is; he titles his side project album V is for Vagina…messed up but very weird. Anyways! This new one from Puscifer is just weird to me…maybe it’s because I didn’t like “Queen B” that much or maybe because Maynard can’t do one thing, he has to experiment and just pretty much be bored with himself. Either way…I don’t know how this Puscifer project is going to hold up anymore. It’s a waste of time to me I think…Keenan just needs to go back to Tool, A Perfect Circle or any god damn band and say “HEY! I want to do something with my musical career!!!” Like I mentioned before; the new album is called “V is for Vagina” and is available wherever you buy your music CD’s and/or MP3’s. I really don’t know what to say about this project let alone album…so I won’t say anything.
