Saliva ft. Brent Smith of Shinedown – Don’t Question My Heart ***** (Album: WWE The Music: Volume 8)

Review: You know, when other lead singers of other bands join in on a song with a kick-ass band…it gives me chills and goosebumps up and down my spine! The newest one from Saliva is called “Don’t Question My Heart” and it has three good things to it. One: It features lead singer Brent Smith of Shinedown…Two: It’s the new theme song to ECW. (Extreme Championship Wrestling) I know, I am a huge wrestling fan, leave me alone! AND! It’s song of the week inside New Music Thursday! I really like the combination of both Josey Scott and Brent Smith…both of their voices are unique and they obviously bring something to the table that most singers can’t. To be honest with you…there is nothing wrong with this song at all…it has perfect written all over it due to Saliva and Brent…I love it! This new single is available off of the “WWE The Music: Volume 8” album which is in stores right now and available online. It’s for wrestling and Saliva fans a like…check it out my peeps!

Weezer – Pork and Beans **** (Album: Weezer)

Review: For Weezer to kick off their sixth album with a single like this…this of course is classic Weezer. Their newest single off of the self-titled album is called “Pork and Beans” and yes, I am not joking. I remember back a couple years ago when everyone started freaking out because they thought Weezer was done for good hence Rivers going back to school and doing his thing…but that didn’t happen. This new single is funny and it’s obviously classic Weezer…but the reason I gave it four instead of five stars…is because it’s not as hard as it should be through out the whole song. Yeah, they have their hardness during the chorus and it sounds awesome…but that’s it! I want more!!! But once again…I get proven wrong when a song of this caliber hits the charts pretty hard and everyone loves it!! Weezer’s newest self-titled album will be hitting stores and online scene June 24 th. I never had a problem with these guys before…so we’ll see what happens with this new album.

Airbourne – Runnin’ Wild ****1/2 (Album: Runnin’ Wild)

Review: This Australian hard rock band has come to the states and has taken the rawk-fist from our hands and has made it a hell of a lot better! Airbourne’s second single off of their album is called “Runnin’ Wild”, the same title as the album itself. Like I said before…I love to see bands from other countries come to the states and blow us away and that’s what Airbourne has done. Heavy guitar riffs, a lead singer with a phenomenal voice and the drummer has the same talents as all the AC/DC drummers put together. (When you listen to any AC/DC song or any Airbourne song…listen for any fills…and if you don’t know what fills are, look it up!!!) I really like the way Airbourne has put this song together and most of the time…a band can’t make their titled track a good track in a sense. Most of time…a new single or a second single is NOT the name of the album…so that’s my theory. Airbourne’s debut album is called “Runnin’ Wild” and is available wherever you buy your CD’s and/or MP3’s. Trust me on this one…we’ll be seeing Airbourne for a long time and THAT is a good thing!
