DESCRIPTION:The Copper Country Pee Wee Basketball league will be starting its 2nd season for youth basketball after a very successful first year. This program was created to help ignite and grow a love for the game of basketball in our area. The tour\, which is being held Aug. 27-29\, will offer residents a deeper understanding about the elections process and what happens after voters cast their ballots. This a free event for the public. \nFormer Michigan House Democrat Leader Christine Greig and former Michigan Republican Senator and House Representative Tonya Schuitmaker\, both representatives of Michiganders for Civil Resilience\, along with Keep Our Republic representatives\, are hosting conversations in five Northern Michigan communities\, including\, Traverse City\, Alpena and Cheboygan with Kent County Clerk Lisa Posthumus Lyons.
