DESCRIPTION:Marquette -Operation Winter Wear\, an outreach that provides new and like-new adult and child-sized coats to individuals in need\, will be taking place October 16 – 18. Hosted by Silver Creek Church and Silver Creek Thrift\, distribution is by appointment only on Wednesday\, October 16 and Thursday\, October 17. Walk-ins are welcome on Friday\, October 18 between noon and 3:00PM. Appointments can be made by calling 906.249.1715 between 9:00AM and 5:00PM Monday – Thursday. The festival will take place October 17-20. The official 2024 schedule and tickets are available now at freshcoastfilm.com. \nUnique to this year’s festival: \n\n\nActor and Comedian Katie Burrell anchors a lineup of more than 70 attending filmmakers from across the US and Canada. She’ll be live Saturday\, October 19\, 2024 with a humorous look at her unique career \n\n\n9 world premieres and over 50 Michigan premieres of films \n\n\nFresh Coast Film Festival’s free kickoff event -Fresh Coast Free- will be hosted at Ellwood A Mattson Lower Harbor Park on Thursday\, October 17 \n\n\nParticipants will have the opportunity to participate in 15 guided outdoor tours as part of the festival weekend pass \n\n\n  \nThis year’s kickoff event will take place on Thursday\, October 17\, at Mattson Park located in downtown Marquette. Festival director Aaron Peterson invites the Marquette community to help celebrate the resilience of the community by stating\, “It’s so good to bring Fresh Coast back and feel the support of this fun\, creative and curious community. Fresh Coast wouldn’t exist without the sponsors\, filmmakers and volunteers that share so much with us. In that spirit\, we begin every festival with our Fresh Coast Free community kickoff celebration.
