DESCRIPTION:Mommaerts and Mahaney Financial Services Noquemanon Ski Marathon presented by Honor Credit Union will be celebrating its 27th Anniversary January 24th-25th. \n\nWe would like to formally thank our title sponsor Mommaerts and Mahaney for signing a multiple year contract last year and NEW THIS YEAR we would like to welcome Honor Credit Union with a three-year commitment as a major sponsor for the race. Here is a quote from Christy Smith\, Marquette Member Center Manager\, “On behalf of Honor Credit Union\, we are thrilled to be able to support Noquemanon this year. We hope to continue to support long-standing community events such as this one. These races mean so much to our local economy and the Marquette community.” \n\nThe event has recently needed to reroute a portion of the full marathon course and while the change was expensive the broader ski community will now benefit from this as it will be groomed for the entire ski season. We are very grateful that we had the time this fall to make those changes before the snow hit. Last year\, our race was the only Nordic ski race in the Midwest that was on natural snow. All other races in the Midwest were on man-made snow. \n\nNow that we have a solid base in the highlands\, we will await more snow\, we are happy that we have had groomers out on the trail and race prep has started. We look forward to more snow and our winter season ahead. This race contributes to the love of winter\, love of nature and the pursuit of winter exercise and enjoyment. \n\nOnce again\, the Noquemanon Ski Marathon is pleased to have Blackrocks Brewery back as the official beer sponsor of the Noquemanon and their 51K IPA is the official beer of the Noquemanon.
