SUMMARY:Marquette - Youth Sailing Lessons
DESCRIPTION:Youth Sailing Lessons Offered this Summer \n  \nThe Marquette Junior Yacht Club will again offer youth sailing lessons this summer to the public. The program will provide the basic fundamentals of sailing for beginner ages 8-17 and expanded skill training for returning intermediate sailors. Instruction takes place both on and off the water by certified sailing instructors at the Marquette Yacht Club location\, E Main Street\, Marquette. Students will convene daily at the MJYC boathouse space generously donated by the Marquette Fish Producers. \n  \nThe 2025 schedule is as follows: July 7 – July 11\, July 14 – July 18\, July 21 – July 25\, July 28 – August 1\, August 4 – August 8 and August 11 – August 15. There are two sessions per day from 10:00 am-12:45 pm and from 2:00 pm-4:45 pm. Students can register for one or more weeks and multiple sessions. Cost per one week session is $225. Main Street. All proceeds will go towards upgrading sailing equipment. This event is open to the public for sellers and shoppers. \n-Drop-off your items between 8:00 am and 11:00 am \n-Sellers set their own prices \n-Items priced less than $499\, a 20% commission will be collected for MJYC \n-Items priced over $500 – a 10% commission will be collected  \n-All 100% donated items in working order will be considered for resale \n-Sale starts at 11:00 am and ends at 2:00 pm. \nAll nautical items are welcome: boats\, trailers\, motors\, navigational equipment\, sailboats\, sails\, boat parts\, anchors\, safety equipment\, canoes\, kayaks\, paddles\, fishing equipment\, home decor\, artwork\, etc. \nThis is a fundraiser for the Marquette Junior Yacht Club\, a local nonprofit sailing school sponsored by the Marquette Yacht Club. \nTo download a sellers form or for sailing school information go to mqtjyc.org
