SUMMARY:Calumet - 3rd Annual LGBTQ+ Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Local LGBTQ+ pride event\, Keweenaw Pridefest\, is returning for a third year on Saturday\, June 7 at the Calumet Colosseum. The free\, all-ages event will be held from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and is open to the public\, rain or shine. \n  \nThe theme of Keweenaw Pridefest 2025 is Community Unity. The theme represents the importance of supporting one another as a community. \n“We’re in this together\,” said Keweenaw Pridefest organizer Emily Stanton. “The Keweenaw is an incredible place. When we stand united\, our community thrives. This year will be even bigger and better than in years past. We are excited to see our event grow into something we had never expected\, and we are looking forward to more community involvement and partnerships.” \n  \nKeweenaw Pridefest will have live music\, tabling from local organizations\, a photo booth\, food trucks\, and free face painting and balloon art. In the spirit of community unity\, there will be a donation drive for the Calumet Free Fridge at the event\, along with a clothing swap. There will be a limited amount of bottled water and prepackaged snacks free of charge. \nActivities: There will be live music\, a clothing swap\, free face painting\, free balloon art\, community organization tabling\, a photo booth\, and the donation drive for Calumet Free Fridge. \nOrganizations Present: Local organizations\, such as Baraga County Shelter Home\, Free Mom Hugs\, Keweenaw Support 4 Healthy Minds\, Copper Country Humane Society\, and Copper Shores Outreach & Education\, will be sharing information with attendees at community tables.
