DESCRIPTION:Hancock Lights the Night: A New Tradition Shines Bright to Celebrate the Holiday Season \n\nThe City of Hancock is proud to announce Hancock Lights the Night\, a brand-new holiday tradition that will transform the Hancock Campground into a winter wonderland of light and color. \n\nMore than 24 local businesses\, organizations\, groups\, clubs\, and individuals have each adopted a campsite along a festive loop inside the campground\, creating unique and creative light displays. The rest of the campground will come alive with holiday sparkle and cheer provided by the City of Hancock—creating a magical setting for visitors of all ages. \n\nThis family-friendly event is designed for kids of all ages and anyone who loves the Christmas season. Visitors will be able to drive slowly through the campground to view amazing holiday displays. Follow the City of Hancock’s social media for special nights at the Campground that feature a walking night\, visits from Santa\, fundraising efforts\, and more. \n\nThe GRAND OPENING of Hancock Lights the Night will take place on Saturday\, November 29th at 5:30 pm at the Hancock Campground. After the opening night celebration\, the light displays will be open to the public Thursdays through Saturdays from 5:30 to 8:00 pm throughout the holiday season. \n\nThis event is made possible through the generous support of the Visit Keweenaw Destination Fund Grant\, the City of Hancock\, and the many local partners and volunteers whose hard work and creativity made this community celebration possible. \n\nBeyond its beauty\, Hancock Lights the Night showcases how collective effort can create something truly special—boosting local pride\, attracting visitors\, and highlighting our communities as a welcoming\, vibrant place to live and visit.
