DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Keweenaw Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (KUUF) will host a free public forum online titled “Working towards Sustainable Materials Management and a Circular Economy in the Copper Country” on Sunday\, April 12 from 10:30-11:30 a.m.\nJonathon Nagel\, executive director of the Copper Country Recycling Initiative\, will introduce the principles of sustainable materials management\, helping participants understand how the products and resources we use every day are part of a much larger system. We will discuss efforts across the Copper County to support sustainable materials management and promote circular economies. A circular economy is an economic model that aims to eliminate waste and promote sustainability through reuse and resource efficiency.\nNagel previously worked in municipal planning for the City of Fort Collins\, Colorado\, where he focused on sustainable materials management\, environmental policy and green building. He is a graduate of Colorado State University\, where he majored in political science\, with minors in development and business.\nForums are approximately one hour long. DESCRIPTION: Alfred Erickson American Legion Post 186\n                  Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser\n       Sunday\,  April 12 2026\n       @ the Post Home\n            1308 Quincy Street\, Hancock\nServing from 12 noon – 4 pm\nDonation $10\nCurbside pickup only\n\nWe ask people to enter from birch street and exit onto Quincy st.  Watch for our people directing traffic.  Food will be delivered to your car.  Tickets can be purchased from Legion members or at the event.  The sauce is scratch made by our veteran members from a recipe we have been using for decades.  Served with fresh French bread\, coleslaw and a cookie.  Please support our fund raiser that supports the post and its various veteran and community projects.  These include veteran’s funeral services\, Boys State\, Girl and Boy Scouts\, Legion baseball and other charitable community projects.  For more information contact Public affairs officer Jim Peterson at 906-370-8144
