Come hike with us through a beautiful hardwood forest and along an old logging road to a tall pine path on the south side of the Little Garlic River. The hike begins at the parking lot across from Echo Lake Road on CR550. (Note: we will initially meet at the Elliott Donnelly Trailhead to spot some vehicles.)
A short walk up the road brings us to the NCT. After a brief hike up the ridge we will find ourselves on a level logging road. This hike is totally devoid of rocks. The last mile descends through a tall pine forest with scenic views of the Little Garlic River below.Our hike will be led by Dennis Fattaleh, an experienced group hike leader.

This hike will cover approximately 4.65 miles of terrain and is an intermediate hike. This is a good hike for less experienced hikers to build confidence and stamina. Proper hiking boots are required. Expect a few wet spots. Plan on 3 to 4 hours of hiking time. Don’t forget to bring water, a snack, and bug spray!

We’ll meet on Saturday, August 2nd at 10:00 AM at the Elliott Donnelly Trailhead parking lot located on the north side of the Little Garlic River on CR550 (Google Map link here). From there, we will then load into about half the vehicles to drive the 3 miles to the parking across from Echo Lake Road. Please be open to having fellow hikers in your vehicle to help with staging cars at both ends.
