Marquette Area Public Schools Town Hall Meetings for May 2026 Bond Proposal

Join the District on March 2 or 3 for Tour, Presentation, Q&A

Marquette, MI – Marquette Area Public Schools (MAPS) will host a series of Town Hall Meetings in early March to provide families, staff, and community members with information about the May 5, 2026 bond proposal. Each session will include an optional guided tour of the school building, followed by a presentation outlining proposed improvements, project priorities, and opportunities for community questions to be answered.

The meetings are designed to help residents learn more about the District’s long‑range facilities plan, which addresses aging infrastructure, safety and accessibility needs, and modern learning environments across all MAPS schools. The May 2026 bond proposal would support improvements in areas such as security, HVAC and electrical systems, ADA upgrades, and updated instructional spaces across every building in the District.

Town Hall Meeting Schedule

March 2, 2026 – Bothwell Middle School 

• Optional building tours begin at 3:30 PM EST (meet in Bothwell Gymnasium)
• Presentation begins at 5:00 PM EST in Bothwell Gymnasium

March 3, 2026 – Marquette Senior High School 

• Optional building tours begin at 3:30 PM EST (meet at MSHS Canopy Entryway) 
• Presentation begins at 5:00 PM EST in MSHS Media Center

“These Town Hall Meetings are an important opportunity for our community to see firsthand the needs identified across our buildings and to ask questions about the proposed solutions,” said Superintendent Zack Sedgwick. “We want residents to have clear, transparent information as they consider the May 2026 bond proposal.”
