The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter is excited to announce Raise the Woof, a comedy night fundraiser to support homeless pets in the community. Taking place on Friday, January 9, 2026, at Up North Lodge & Banquet Center in Gwinn, the event promises a night of laughter and fun for a great cause.

– Time: Doors open at 7:00pm, Show starts at 8:00pm
– Tickets: $35.00 in advance, $50.00 for two; $250.00 for a table of eight with pizza. Tickets can be purchased online at UPAWS.ORG.
Join us for a chance to win amazing prizes in our raffles and enjoy a night of comedy with Carl Lee and DJ Kamoflage. Raise the Woof is a group of comedians dedicated to raising funds and awareness for animal rescue. The comedy tour works with local animal rescues in the cities it plays, giving a voice to animals through laughter and spreading awareness while raising money for a good cause. The event is suggested for ages 16 and up.
