UPAWS Strut Your Mutt 2026

Join us for the Biggest Dog Party of the Year!

The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter’s 21st Annual Strut Your Mutt fundraiser will be held Saturday, October 3rd at Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette. Registration begins at 9 a.m., with the walk at 10 a.m. 

There will be refreshments for people and pets, dog contests, and prizes for the top three fundraisers in adult and youth categories. Doggie contests with prizes for the pooches, including a costume contest and pet tricks! Have fun visiting with all the dogs! Every registered walker gets a goodie bag and a Strut bandana for their dog. 

Participants who register by September 25th are eligible to be selected as “Leader of the Pack” and will lead off the walk. The cost to register is $20 per person. You can also register right at the event. Start raising pledges now! The more money you raise, the more you help our shelter pets, and you can win some great prizes at the same time!
