NMU Seaborg Center Offers Kids ‘Summer of STEM’ Northern Michigan University’s Glenn T. Seaborg Mathematics and Science Center will host a series of summer programs for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. These programs are designed to foster curiosity, creativity and career exploration through immersive, hands-on learning experiences in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Summer College for Kids, open to students in grades K–8, provides engaging educational opportunities. Youth Sailing Lessons Offered this Summer   The Marquette Junior Yacht Club will again offer youth sailing lessons this summer to the public. The program will provide the basic fundamentals of sailing for beginner ages 8-17 and expanded skill training for returning intermediate sailors. Instruction takes place both on and off the water by certified sailing instructors at the Marquette Yacht Club location, E Main Street, Marquette. Come hike with us through beautiful hardwood forests and across rugged outcroppings to beautiful Lily Pond with its incredible vistas. The hike begins at the Wetmore Pond parking lot located a half mile north of Sugarloaf on CR550 and heads part way up the South Hogback trail. It then branches off on the Forestville trail to the Lily Pond Spur, which then brings the hike down to the pond. A short hike onto the bluffs gives spectacular views of Lily Pond full of water lilies. The hike continues over several small outcroppings before returning to the parking lot. Our hike
