Dollar Bay Preschool Registration is OPEN

Dollar Bay Preschool registration is open! Children who will be 4 years old by September 1 are eligible to be a part of this outstanding program. The Dollar Bay Preschool follows the school year calendar, from the second week of September through the first week of June, and class is in session 8:25-3:30 Monday through Thursday each week, with free breakfast, snack, and lunch provided every day. Interested parents can simply go to the Dollar Bay-Tamarack City School website for the links to register. NMU Hosts High School Dance Intensive and North Coast Dance Festival

Northern Michigan University Theatre and Dance will host its Wildcat Performing Arts Academy Summer Dance Intensive for high school intermediate- to advanced-level dancers July 13-27. Participants will attend sessions led by prominent industry professionals from Giordano Dance Chicago, Ballet Project OC of California, a former Broadway touring company member and others. They will also perform alongside the two visiting ensembles and NMU CO/LAB Dance Company during the North Coast Dance Festival, which consists of a masterclass and two public performances. Blueberry Festival Returns!

Get ready to celebrate all things blueberry as the 26th Annual Blueberry Festival returns to Downtown Marquette on Friday, July 25! This beloved summer tradition brings together the best of local flavor, creativity, and community, all centered around the mighty blueberry. With over 120 vendors lining the streets, you’ll find blueberry-inspired everything, from blueberry beer to blueberry pizza, handmade goods, sweet treats, and original art celebrating this iconic fruit. The festival also features live music throughout the day and activities for kids, making it a fun-filled event for the whole family, all set right in the heart of Downtown Marquette.

Eagle Mine to offer Free Public Tours of Facilities CHAMPION, Mich., April 22, 2025—A series of public tours of Eagle Mine facilities will be offered during the summer. Tour locations will alternate between the Eagle Mine in Big Bay and the Humboldt Mill in Champion on Thursdays from July to September.
