PWPL will be accepting gently used & clean Halloween costumes and dress-up apparel starting August 4 for the Halloween Costume Swap. Families can attend the costume swap on Saturday, September 23 and look for a new-to-you costume! Eagle Mine to offer Free Public Tours of Facilities CHAMPION, Mich., April 22, 2025—A series of public tours of Eagle Mine facilities will be offered during the summer. Tour locations will alternate between the Eagle Mine in Big Bay and the Humboldt Mill in Champion on Thursdays from July to September. Powerful Tools for Caregivers Workshop

Powerful Tools for Caregivers, a six-week workshop, designed for the non-professional, informal family caregiver, will be held on Thursdays, August 21 – September 25th, 1:00 – 2:30 pm at the Negaunee Senior Center, 410 Jackson Street, Negaunee. Research studies find high rates of depression and anxiety among caregivers and increased vulnerability to health problems. Caregivers frequently cite restriction of personal activities and social life as problems. In addition, caregivers often feel a lack of control over events and a sense of powerlessness which can have a significant negative impact on their physical and emotional health. Music on Third will be making its return to the Third Street Corridor this month, and will be bringing some needed changes to help make it a safer and more enjoyable event for everyone. The next Music on Third of 2025 is scheduled for Thursday, August 21 from 6 – 9 pm. Streets will be closed beginning at 5:30 pm, with musicians located between Ridge St. and Prospect St. performing from 6 – 8 pm and musicians between Prospect St. and Kaye Ave. performing from 7 – 9 pm.
