PWPL will be accepting gently used & clean Halloween costumes and dress-up apparel starting August 4 for the Halloween Costume Swap. Families can attend the costume swap on Saturday, September 23 and look for a new-to-you costume! Eagle Mine to offer Free Public Tours of Facilities CHAMPION, Mich., April 22, 2025—A series of public tours of Eagle Mine facilities will be offered during the summer. Tour locations will alternate between the Eagle Mine in Big Bay and the Humboldt Mill in Champion on Thursdays from July to September. Tours of the Eagle Mine will be offered on the following dates from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: June 19, July 10, July 24, August 7, August 21, September 4, and September 18. Marquette -Silver Creek Church and Silver Creek Thrift are partnering with Feeding America West Michigan to host a Mobile Food Pantry. Taking place on Thursday, August 14. Food distribution will begin at 10:00am and continue while supplies last or until 11:30am. Food will be available for approximately 550 families. Due to changes with Feeding America West Michigan, proxy pickup will be limited. This will be a drive-thru event with directions given by parking lot attendants. Guests are asked to remain in their cars and have adequate space prepared in their trunk or back seat in advance to allow the distribution

Thursday, August 14th at 2pm, the library will be hosting their regular Crochet Club program in combination with a Project Linus Meet-up. Project Linus now has a Marquette County Chapter that accepts handmade blankets of all types and sizes that will be donated to local children and teens in need. ICPL is a drop off location for these blankets!
