The Keweenaw Peninsula is turning up the summer heat with a uniquely Nordic celebration: the Juhannus Summer Solstice Celebration (June 20–22) in Hancock, Michigan. This three-day bash blends Finnish culture, lakeside summer vibes, and crisp cans of The Finnish Long Drink, the festival’s presenting beverage sponsor. With two pop-up Long Drink bars, live music, folklore parades, and fire-lit nights, Juhannus in the Keweenaw invites visitors to embrace Suloista Suvea—the sweetness of summer—and the spirit of Hancock’s Finnish Heritage. Join us Saturday, June 21 from 12:00-3:00 p.m. for the VFD Auxiliary Bazaar & Sales first sale of the year.  We have new items arriving every week and now everything is on the main floor of the Community Center so we are full of goodies for the whole family.  Each sale will have a Special Feature, this time, Perennials and Garden Accessories.  Also, every sale will have new auction items to bid on.  A free will donation lunch will be available for you to enjoy.  Come join in the fun, have lunch and take home some good deals!
