Dollar Bay Preschool registration is open! Children who will be 4 years old by September 1 are eligible to be a part of this outstanding program. The Dollar Bay Preschool follows the school year calendar, from the second week of September through the first week of June, and class is in session 8:25-3:30 Monday through Thursday each week, with free breakfast, snack, and lunch provided every day. Interested parents can simply go to the Dollar Bay-Tamarack City School website for the links to register. Wild Ones Native Plant Sale The Wild Ones Keweenaw chapter is offering a selection of over two dozen native plants to get you gardening for butterflies, birds, and pollinators. Visit the shop at keweenaw.wildones.org and place your order. You can then pick up your plants in Houghton. The deadline getting your plants is July 23. In addition to native classics like common milkweed, lance-leaf coreopsis and wild bergamot, Wild Ones is offering some species for the first time, including blue false indigo and western sunflower. UP Wild in the Keweenaw would like to announce its upcoming monthly event. Wilderness Walk Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. Gratiot River County Park., Allouez, MI The Wilderness Walks are opportunities to connect with God and each other in an outdoor natural setting.  Each walk has a leader who will guide the walk and stop along the way for readings and reflection.  The walks are appropriate for all ages including families and children. Everyone is welcome, no religious affiliation is necessary.
