Northern Michigan University Theatre and Dance will stage Ctrl+Alt+Delete, a darkly comic look at tech startups, speculative investment, and the value we assign to ideas in a rapidly evolving economy. The production runs Oct. 30–Nov. 2 and Nov. 6–9 in NMU’s Panowski Black Box Theatre.   Set during the tech boom of the late 1990s, Ctrl+Alt+Delete follows wunderkind Eddie Fisker, a young tech developer who teams up with a visionary entrepreneur to launch a revolutionary new app. As the startup gains traction, the team becomes increasingly disconnected from the ethical and real-world consequences of their creation. Houghton-Keweenaw Chapter MARSP November Meeting

Bonfire at the Continental Fire Co. 408 E. Montezuma Avenue, Houghton

The November meeting of the Houghton-Keweenaw Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel  (MARSP) will be held on Tuesday, November 4th at the Bonfire in Houghton.  The business meeting will begin at 12:30 pm followed by a buffet lunch.  The guest speaker will be Mike Lutz, Executive Director of Omega House.  All members are encouraged to attend.  Contact person – Steven Karpiak, 482-8455

Information & Prep Session for Shark Tank

Portage Lake District Library 4585 W. Lakeshore Drive, Houghton

Breakwater will also host an Information & Prep Session   November 4th at 6PM at the Portage Lake District Library.   This session will give students the chance to receive oneon-one guidance, learn pitch-building tips, and practice answering Q&A questions in a supportive environment — helping them feel confident and ready for the competition stage.
