MARQUETTE – The “big bear” of Upper Peninsula festivals returns for its twelfth year after taking a brief hiatus in 2025 due to the opening of The Trestle Building. Ore Dock Brewing Company’s Festival of the Angry Bear is a spirited and much anticipated street festival that has become an annual spring tradition in downtown Marquette. Ninth Annual Keweenaw Native Plant Symposium Saturday, April 4, 2026 9 a.m.-noon Zoom The Keweenaw Native Plant Symposium features nationally known pollinator advocate Heather Holm, who will speak on creating soft landings: mini-ecosystems beneath trees that support pollinators. Each month, one of the teachers will present a topic that addresses the different dimensions where we can practice mindfulness and presence. The intent is for us to cultivate mindfulness, care, and well-being individually and in our love, business, and social relationships.
