Village of L’Anse/DDA announces its free 2025 Lakefront Concerts schedule, kicking off Thursday, June 12 at 7 PM with the blues and cajun music of UP Gumbo. The concerts are held every Thursday in the beautiful lakefront park at the foot of Broad Street at the lake. Community Rummage Sale and FLASH ticket sale The Houghton County Fair will be hosting a rummage sale in the fair’s exhibit building on the fairgrounds, 1500 Birch Street, in Hancock. The sale will be on Saturday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with 8 vendors. (Space is still available!) Negaunee Public Library is hosting a Marvel Entertainment illustrator as part of our “Color Our World” summer reading program. Jerry DeCaire, a Saginaw native, has worked on Deadpool, Thor, Wolverine, and other world-famous superheroes. The event will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, at the Negaunee Senior Citizens Center.
