Poet and Book Artist Cindy Hunter Morgan will lead this three-day workshop, which will begin with a generative writing workshop and include instructions and materials to complete a book structure to hold the work you create. Participants will meet for two hours each day for these workshops. All materials will be provided. Registration is limited to twelve (12) participants. No admission charge. Northern Michigan University Theatre and Dance will host its Wildcat Performing Arts Academy Summer Dance Intensive for high school intermediate- to advanced-level dancers July 13-27. Participants will attend sessions led by prominent industry professionals from Giordano Dance Chicago, Ballet Project OC of California, a former Broadway touring company member and others. They will also perform alongside the two visiting ensembles and NMU CO/LAB Dance Company during the North Coast Dance Festival, which consists of a masterclass and two public performances. The first week of the summer intensive will feature day-long classes to hone dance skills. Week two will include sessions

The Downtown Marquette Farmers Market will be turning the 100 block of W. Washington St. into a festive Night Market where you will find over 60 vendors gathered to exhibit their locally grown, collected, and crafted products. Stop by every Wednesday night from 5 pm – 8 pm to enjoy the local farmers, bakers, artisans, musicians, and more!

Thursday, July 24, 2025. 2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Peter White Public Library Heritage Room. Whether it be needlework, knitting, crochet, drawing, bring your latest project to work on with others! See what everyone is working on and share your project with the group. No supplies will be available so bring your project to work on. Adults 18+ are invited. No registration required.
