Operation Winter Wear, an outreach that provides new and like-new adult and child-sized coats to individuals in need, is taking place October 15 – 17. Hosted by Silver Creek Church and Silver Creek Thrift, distribution will be by appointment only on Wednesday, October 15 and Thursday, October 16. Walk-ins are welcome on Friday, October 17 between noon and 3:00PM. Appointments can be made by calling 906.249.1715 between 9:00AM and 5:00PM Monday – Thursday. The Negaunee DDA is announcing their first ever Witches Night Out event to be held in Downtown Negaunee on Saturday, November 15th, from 4 pm to 8 pm. This inaugural event spurred from interested local businesses asking, “why there wasn’t a ladies’ night like other communities have”? This led to some brainstorming and creativity, resulting in Witches Night Out. “This is a fun play on and a less traditional ladies’ night out, we wanted to be different and catchy!
