Four mindfulness meditation and yoga teachers invite you to engage in a year of mindful living. Each month, one of the teachers will present a topic that addresses the different dimensions where we can practice mindfulness and presence. The intent is for us to cultivate mindfulness, care, and well-being individually and in our love, business, and social relationships.     10th Annual Alston Tractor Races   Saturday, September 6th, 2025 Antique Gas & Diesel Tractors   Fast & Slow Races held on Hoover Road in Alston, MI (next to the ball field) Time Trials start at 10:30am, Races to Follow   Trophies awarded 1st – 3rd Place $25 Entry fee per Tractor Entered.  Every race participant will receive a 10th Anniversary ball cap.     Tuesday September 9, 2025. Peter White Public Library Great Room. Youth of all ages and skill levels are invited to cozy up and work on their crochet, knit and weaving skills! Once a month youth can come to work on creations from home or work on a new pattern with fellow yarn spinners. Some tools and yarn will be provided, and parents are encouraged to attend with their kids to work on projects of their own. Drop-in program; staff will help kids with patterns when able.   • Woodland Park Input Requested

    NMU’s Sustainability Hub for Innovation and Environment (SHINE) will host two events on Tuesday, Sept. 9, to seek campus and community input on the project to develop an experiential learning forest and garden at the corner of Norwood and Neidhart Avenues, adjacent to the Woodland Park Apartments. The first will be an “open house” from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., when people can drop by the actual space to see the changes that have been made, speak to those involved in the planning and share their thoughts and ideas through conversation and an interactive survey.
