• Downtown Marquette Trick or Treat

    The sidewalks of Marquette will be filled with ghouls, goblins, and other costumed kiddos! Parents are invited to bring their children to Trick or Treat at participating downtown businesses. Please look for the Downtown Halloween Trick or Treat poster in the window. We ask that participants please follow all safety guidelines set forth by the Marquette City Police. All of Downtown Marquette is open to trick-or-treaters at participating businesses who display the signs linked above. The 100 & 200 block of W. Washington will be closed again this year to make the busy center safer for children when visiting participating

  • Downtown Marquette Trick or Treat

    Get ready for Halloween in Downtown Marquette on October 25th from 4-7 pm. The 100 and 200 blocks of Washington St. will transform into a Halloween haven for our annual Downtown Trick-or-Treat. The streets will be closed to traffic, making it a safe and fun environment for costumed kiddos to collect candy from participating stores.

  • NMU Choirs Present ‘Sacred Currents’ Concert

    The Northern Michigan University Music Department will host its first NMU choral concert of the fall semester at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, in a new location: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Marquette. Admission to the “Sacred Currents” concert is free and open to the public.  Director and Professor Erin Colwitz will be assisted by student directors and choral music education majors Jessica Schrader and Sophie Laskaris. The concert will feature sacred choral works with the Arts Chorale and the University Choir, along with Professor Patrick Booth on saxophone and Jan Brodersen on organ.  “This will be a unique concert,”
