Br. Guy Consolmagno Presentation of the Stars

Br. Guy Consolmagno, SJ, the former head of the Vatican Observatory, and now current head of the Vatican Observatory Foundation, with a specialty in meteorites, is a Jesuit brother who will come to both Houghton and Chassell for a series of presentations. He will be giving 1colloquium and 3 presentations for the public from February 19-21, 2026. His last presentation on February 21 st will be geared towards children and their families. The three presentations are
as follows:

 

Thursday, February 19: 4:00pm  Physics Colloquium: “What’s Surfacing at Bennu” & 7:00pm Public Talk: “Strange Cosmologies” in Fisher 139 at Michigan Technological University

 

Friday, February 20: “A Jesuit Guide to the Stars” at St. Albert the Great University Parish (lower level)

 

Saturday, February 21: “Adventures of a Vatican Astronomer” at St. Anne’s Parish, Chassell, MI from 9-10 am
