10th annual Suicide Prevention Walk

The community is invited to come together for the 10th annual Suicide Prevention Walk on Saturday, September 12, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Ray Kestner Waterfront Park in Houghton. The walk aims to raise awareness about local suicide prevention, reduce stigma surrounding mental health and show those who are struggling that they are not alone.

Over the past decade, the walk has grown into a meaningful opportunity for community members to connect, honor loved ones and support one another. This year, local students chosen for their leadership in supporting youth mental health through the CCISD’s Green Bandana Project, are sharing personal perspectives on mental health to encourage open conversations about mental health and suicide.

Everyone is welcome to attend the walk, whether they have been personally affected by suicide, want to support a loved one or simply believe in building a stronger, more connected community.
