Primroses in the Garden: Primula and Companion Plants for Woodland, Crevice, Container, & Rock Gardens, presentation by Daniel Hendrickson
6:30 – 7:30 pm
Calumet Public Library – Community Room
Open to the Public

Daniel Hendrickson, a retired music educator and plant enthusiast, has developed practical knowledge and experience by growing and cultivating his own plants for well over 25 years and he’s going to share some of his knowledge with you during this program.  Hendrickson will introduce you to the charm and beauty of Primroses in a presentation that highlights garden-worthy Primula and companion plants. The presentation includes a slide show and discussion exploring plant selections and design tips suitable for woodland, crevice, container and rock garden settings.

Hendrickson has been a member of the American Primrose Society (APS) since 2004 and currently serves the APS as a Board Director and as Editor of PRIMROSE, the APS Quarterly Journal.  Daniel is also a member of the North American Rock Garden Society (NARGS) and the Great Lakes Chapter of NARGS. He has presented for the Keweenaw Garden Club, the Michigan Master Gardener’s Association, the Hosta Society of Southwest Michigan and the Midwest Group of the APS.  He will be presenting—via Zoom—for the American Primrose National Show in Juneau, Alaska on May 17th.

This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Calumet Public Library.
