  Northern Michigan University’s 57th annual fall semester job fair will take place from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, in the Northern Center ballrooms. The job fair offers students and alumni a one-stop opportunity to receive information about a wide array of career possibilities from participating employers in attendance who are recruiting for full-time and part-time jobs, as well as internships and seasonal employment. Admission to this event is free for Northern students and alumni. Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally and have their resumes on hand.   Northern Michigan University’s construction management program is hosting Women in Construction Day on Friday, Nov. 1 in the Jacobetti Complex. This hands-on career exploration event will be presented by dynamic women working in the industry and offer high school students an opportunity to discover options traditionally viewed as male-oriented.   Northern Michigan University will hold the fourth annual Upper Peninsula Association for Behavior Analysis (UPABA) conference Nov. 7-8. This year’s event focuses on language acquisition strategies and features national speakers, practical workshops and networking opportunities. This year’s event will touch on various aspects of NMU’s past in honor of the university’s 125th anniversary. Northern Michigan University Alumni Relations will host a Northern Now digital event for alumni and friends that features a virtual cooking segment with students in NMU’s hospitality leadership program, under the guidance of instructor/chef and 2010 alumna Alden MacDonald. The segment will be available at 7 p.m. EST Wednesday, Nov. 13.
