Ishpeming Organizations Team Up to Host Inaugural Tree Planting Event ISHPEMING, MI. – Several Ishpeming organizations are joining forces to host the community’s inaugural fruit and nut tree planting event on Saturday, May 24. The event is organized by the Ishpeming Lions Club with support from Partridge Creek Farm and Partridge Creek Compost. Open to Ishpeming residents, the event will feature two sessions on the same day: Morning Session: 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Partridge Creek Farm’s community site, located at 550 Cleveland Ave., Ishpeming Afternoon Session: 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. next to the Cliffs Shaft Mining Museum at 501 W

NCT Hike
Come hike with us through beautiful hardwood forests and across rugged outcroppings to beautiful Lily Pond with its incredible vistas. The hike begins at the Wetmore Pond parking lot located a half mile north of Sugarloaf on CR550 and heads part way up the South Hogback trail. It then branches off on the Forestville trail to the Lily Pond Spur, which then brings the hike down to the pond. A short hike onto the bluffs gives spectacular views of Lily Pond full of water lilies. The hike continues over several small outcroppings before returning to the parking lot. Our hike
