Wednesday, November 19, 2025.  4:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.  Peter White Public Library Studio 1 & 2. We have partnered up with Iron Golem Games to bring Dungeon and Dragons to the PWPL. Jordan, from Iron Golem Games and local DM’s, will lead groups of teens on an epic quest with this role-playing game. For students in grades 6-12. Registration is required, no admission charge. Wednesday November 19, 2025.  4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.  Peter White Public Library Community Room.  We are celebrating the release of Dav Pilkey’s newest book of the wildly popular “Dog Man” series with Dog Man themed crafts, games and activities! Youth of all ages are welcome to attend. Under 8 must have an adult present in the program with them. No admission charge. Thursdays, November (6 & 20), 2025. 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.  Peter White Public Library Youth Services Makerspace. Youth of all ages who are interested in Pokémon card trading and gaming are invited to our new monthly Pokémon Trading & Gaming Sessions. Kids who attend will be able to trade & play the card game with other kids. Kids will also be able to spend time with other Pokémon fans, chatting about Pokémon and looking through their cards. Experience the magic of the season in downtown Marquette! The historic Lower Harbor Ore Dock will light up for the holidays with dazzling laser displays by Fresh Coast Light Lab, every Thursday through Saturday from 6-9 PM on the north side of the dock.     This free, family-friendly show offers something new each week from festive and winter-themed scenes to colorful, abstract displays inspired by Marquette itself. Brass Queens, a female-led brass band from Brooklyn featuring all-female horns with a sound that is deeply inspired by the New Orleans tradition, will perform at Northern Michigan University. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, in Reynolds Recital Hall.  Multiple brass instruments are featured in the group’s performances, including the sousaphone, trumpets, saxophones and trombones, along with other supporting instruments. Becoming a fixture in the local music scene and dubbed “the hardest working band in town,” the Brass Queens gained a dedicated following through outdoor performances on the streets of Brooklyn. Noon – 1:00 p.m.  Peter White Public Library, Heritage Room.  In partnership with several area organizations, this hour-long event offers a safe space to pause, reflect, and build meaningful connections with others who are committed to cultivating kindness in our world. Each week, a different organization takes the lead, with experienced educators and leaders facilitating.
