The Marquette Area Sister Cities Partnership is proud to announce the 2026 incoming delegation from our sister city Higashiomi, Japan, celebrating our 47th year of sister city relations. A delegation of seven Higashiomi citizens will arrive in Marquette on July 19 and depart on July 29, 2026, Our seven delegates are the Deputy Mayor, a Higashiomi City Council member, Higashiomi City Staff, members of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Higashiomi International Exchange Association, and Higashiomi citizens. Learn basic needle felting and leave with your very own handmade felted ladybug. Felting starter kits and wool provided. Please bring a small pair of scissors. Want to download travel apps before you leave town? Need help utilizing the library’s Memory Lab or navigating Libby?
