Friday, December 12, 2025.  7:30–9:30 pm.  Peter White Public Library Community Room.  All students in grades 6 to 8 are invited to put on your best semi-formal attire for the library’s annual Yule Ball. Dance to your favorite songs and hang out with your friends in a winter wonderland. Parent chaperones are always welcome to help. Tickets can be purchased at the PWPL Teen Zone and will go on sale November 17. If we need to reschedule due weather, the dance will take place on Saturday, December 13. Come join us for a rather easy winter warmup hike. The hike begins at the large parking area across from Wetmore Landing on CR550. The first part of the hike winds its way around a series of snow-clad rock outcroppings, with a few minor hills and a few rocks on the trail. From there the trail levels out for a quiet hike through pines and hemlocks tipped with our recent snowfall before returning to our starting point.   Our hike will be led by Marquette Area Chapter Hike Leader Dennis Fattaleh (906-360-6441), an experienced hiker.   This hike will cover

The historic Lower Harbor Ore Dock will light up for the holidays with dazzling laser displays by Fresh Coast Light Lab, every Thursday through Saturday from 6-9 PM on the north side of the dock.     This free, family-friendly show offers something new each week from festive and winter-themed scenes to colorful, abstract displays inspired by Marquette itself. Mediate Marquette and PWPL have collaborated to offer a weekly, in-person mindfulness meditation program. The sessions begin at 6:00 pm followed by a period of fellowship. Dr. Debra Smith, a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and psychologist, will deliver brief talks exploring various aspects of meditation and its impact on our lives.
