In partnership with several area organizations, this hour-long event offers a safe space to pause, reflect, and build meaningful connections with others who are committed to cultivating kindness in our world. Each week, a different organization takes the lead, with experienced educators and leaders facilitating. This rotating format ensures diverse perspectives and practices while maintaining a shared commitment to the Charter for Compassion and the Circle of Trust principles. On Saturday, September 27, Downtown Marquette will join communities across the state in celebrating the 6th Annual Downtown Day, an initiative of the Michigan Downtown Association. This statewide event highlights the importance of supporting local downtowns, from shops and restaurants to cultural and recreational spaces. Are you a hiking enthusiast? Did you know that over 100 miles of the 4,800-mile North Country National Scenic Trail run right through our area? On National Public Lands Day, Saturday, September 27, 2025, we’re taking on a unique challenge: to have enough hikers and groups cover all 110 miles of our chapter’s section of the trail in a single day.
