  • International Musical Group “Floriani”

    Internationally known musical group, Floriani, to perform in Marquette St. Peter Cathedral concert slated for Saturday, Nov. 15   Renowned choral group Floriani will be at St. Peter Cathedral in Marquette on Nov. 15 for a 7 p.m. concert. Admission is free. Freewill offerings will be accepted. Floriani is a men’s vocal quartet ensemble dedicated to performing and reviving sacred music. At their concert they offer a meditative experience as they perform an assortment of Gregorian chant, music from Eastern and Western traditions, and original pieces.     Northern Michigan University’s Platform Personalities organization will host “An Evening with Anthony Ramos” on Monday, Nov. 17, in the Northern Center Grand Ballroom. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the event will begin at 7 p.m. Admission is free for NMU students (1 ticket per ID) and $5 for the general public.     NMU Music Department Plans Three November Concerts The Northern Michigan University Music Department will present three upcoming concerts to usher in November: Percussion Ensemble; Opera Theater Workshop; and the inaugural Wildcat Winds performance. All are free and will be held in Reynolds Recital Hall. The Percussion Ensemble is scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8. Students will showcase their work through various solos and group performances. The Opera Theater Workshop begins at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11.
