  • UP Pesticide Applicators Training and Exams

    Bay College Escanaba 2001 N Lincoln Rd, Escanaba, MI, United States

    8:00am – 4:00pm Wednesday, April 1st, 2026  Bay College in Escanaba, MI MSU Extension and Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD) will offer Pesticide Applicator Training and Exams in the Upper Peninsula at Bay College in Escanaba on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, 8:00am – 4:00pm ET. The program includes a core manual review (RUP credits), lunch and MDARD exams (Training participation required for exam takers). Core exams (private and commercial) will be offered by MDARD as part of the training, while Commercial Category exams will be offered separately onsite through Bay College Testing Services.   • PSA – Powerful Tools for Caregivers Workshop

    Powerful Tools for Caregivers, a six-week online workshop, designed for the non-professional, informal family caregiver, will be held on Thursdays, March 19 through April 23, from 1:30 – 3:00 pm (Eastern) via Zoom. Research studies find high rates of depression and anxiety among caregivers and increased vulnerability to health problems. Caregivers frequently cite restriction of personal activities and social life as problems. In addition, caregivers often feel a lack of control over events and a sense of powerlessness which can have a significant negative impact on their physical and emotional health.
