Peter White Conference Room.  Adult Nonfiction Book Group at the Peter White Public Library focuses on narrative nonfiction book picks that tell stories of our past, present, and future. This book group is for people who enjoy reading nonfiction that read like fiction. Join us as we explore this month’s book (which is also the Great Michigan Read this year) Everything I Learned, I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant by Curtis Chin. No registration or admission charge. Wednesdays 3 p.m.  The after-school library club, a group for middle school students and their homeschool peers ages 10-14, will meet at 3 p.m. Wednesdays at the Negaunee Public Library, except for days the Negaunee Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather. Press Release Negaunee Ice Arena Tours City Manager Nate Heffron is announcing two tours of the Negaunee Ice Area for both the public and media to attend. The purpose of the tours will be to reveal designs for the proposed ice arena overhaul, which is needed to keep the facility operational to facilitate updates and repairs. Additionally, those that attend the tours will learn firsthand what is proposed, why, and be able to ask questions concerning the project. The tour will be offered twice on March 25th. The first tour will start at 3:00 p.m. and the second will commence

Wednesday, March 25, 2026.  4:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.  Peter White Public Library Community Room.  We have partnered with Iron Golem Games to bring Dungeon and Dragons to the PWPL. Jordan, from Iron Golem Games and local DM’s, will lead groups of teens on an epic quest with this role-playing game. For students in grades 6-12. Registration is required; no admission charge. Wednesdays 5:30-6:45 p.m. Negaunee Public Library’s own Leo Siren will conduct writing workshops from 5:30-6:45 p.m. Wednesdays, in the library’s Reading Room. Aspiring writers ages 13 years and up are invited to learn about the craft of story writing from Siren, who has more than 20 years of writing experience. Participants can work on current projects, find inspiration at the workshop, and critique each other’s works in a friendly environment. This event is free. Frank Wardynski, MSU Extension Educator, will be conducting a Cow Calf Meeting in Chatham at the Michigan State University Research and Extension Center, on Wednesday March 25, 2026 at 6:00 pm EST MSU Extension’s winter cow-calf meetings provide a forum for producers to stay informed on management, markets, and emerging issues that can impact profitability and long-term operational success. Merck Animal Health will be sponsoring the meetings, providing pizza and soft drinks. Topics will include the beef market outlook, protecting cattle prices with the Livestock Risk Protection program, the Effects of Maternal Bovine Appeasing Substance, and genetic selection for carcass
