BLOOD DRIVE Thank a veteran for their service and help a community member by donating blood. The Chassell Post 6507 VFW and Auxiliary will be hosting a blood drive on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, 2024 from 3pm-6pm. Appointments are available by calling 906-449-1450, but walk-ins are welcome. All blood donated through the UP Regional Blood Center stays in the Upper Peninsula and helps patients in need at one of the 13 UP hospitals. One donation can save up to 3 lives, and there is an urgent need for all blood types! All donors will be entered into a drawing to win $50 in Keweenaw Cash that can be used at any of the Keweenaw Chamber of Commerce participating businesses. Let’s Eat Community Meals is now in its tenth year of operation and we are proud to have served over 25,000 meals in this time. The meals are always on the second Sunday of the month (at St. Ann’s) in Baraga and on the third Sunday either in Chassell (at Holy Trinity) or Hancock (at Gloria Dei or Resurrection Church or Lighthouse United) from 4 to 5:30 pm and are free.
