Ninth Annual Keweenaw Native Plant Symposium Saturday, April 4, 2026 9 a.m.-noon Zoom The Keweenaw Native Plant Symposium features nationally known pollinator advocate Heather Holm, who will speak on creating soft landings: mini-ecosystems beneath trees that support pollinators. The Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra at Michigan Tech is performing the Resurrection Symphony by Gustav Mahler on April 18, 2026, at the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts. It is the finale of the Rozsa’s 25th anniversary season. The symphony lasts an hour and a half and is the largest choral-orchestral work ever presented in the Upper Peninsula. This will be the first performance of the Resurrection Symphony in the Upper Peninsula, 132 years after its composition. The symphony is massive, with 10 horns, 8 trumpets, 4 trombones, an off-stage brass choir, two harps, organ, large symphonic choir, and soloists. Members |
