Wild Ones Native Garden Giveaway

Wild Ones Native Garden Giveaway In honor of Houghton’s effort to become the first Bird City in the Upper Peninsula, the Wild Ones Keweenaw Chapter is giving away a limited number of free native plant gardens. Houghton gardeners have an advantage, but all Keweenaw residents are welcome to apply. Winning gardens will be installed in front yards or boulevard strips between the sidewalk and street, so that passersby can appreciate their beauty and value to birds and other wildlife. Join the Gay VFD Auxiliary Spring Festival Craft Show, Saturday, May 2 from 10am- 3pm at the Gay Community Hall.  We have a great line-up of crafters for this show. Due to overwhelming response of the community, we are expanding the show to include vendor tables inside as well as outside along with East Fork Pasty and the Bagel Bus.  Inside we will have a bake sale with cold beverages and coffee.
