Copper Country Angel Mission Starts Annual Socks & Undies Drive for Local Students   Help Local Students Start the School Year with Confidence   Copper Country Angel Mission is launching its annual Socks & Undies Drive to collect new socks and underwear for local children in need, from toddlers through teenagers. It’s time to plant! With summer in full swing, the woods and meadows are alive with flowers. You can bring that natural beauty home by adding native plants to your yard. The Wild Ones Keweenaw Chapter is holding its late summer plant sale online at keweenaw.wildones.org. More than two dozen species are available, including scarlet bee balm, purple coneflower, and Jack in the pulpit, plus two different mini-gardens for monarch butterflies. Feeding America West Michigan 2026 mobile food pantry distribution Location:  Sacred Heart Church Calumet Category:  Free Community Event Description: A free drive through event at Sacred Heart Church Calumet serving up to 320 households with fresh produce, dairy, grains and other staple food items.  No appointments; no payments; no income verification required. Watch for signs on US 41 and Lake Linden Ave. in Laurium to follow entry and exit of the drive through event.  Volunteers will help direct you and place your food box into your vehicle.
