The community is invited to gather for the 2025 Michigan Tech Parade of Nations on Saturday, September 20, starting at 11:00 a.m. This year’s event promises vibrant cultural displays, music, food, and performances celebrating the many nations represented in the Keweenaw. 🎉 The Parade The parade will begin at the J.R. Van Pelt and Opie Library on the Michigan Tech campus. Marchers will travel down College Avenue and Shelden Avenue through downtown Houghton, passing in front of the Ambassador Restaurant, before looping back along Lakeshore Drive and concluding at the Dee Stadium. 🎶 Entertainment at the Dee After
The Keweenaw Lions Club is now selling tickets for their Lake Superior Cruise fundraiser aboard the Isle Royale Queen IV. Limited tickets are $30 each and are already selling quickly. Cruise will depart from the Isle Royale Queen Dock in Copper Harbor, Sunday September 21. The two hour tour will begin boarding at 1:30pm with a 2:00pm departure. Destination is weather dependent. Wilderness Walk Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. Calumet Lions Park The Wilderness Walks are opportunities to connect with God and each other in an outdoor natural setting. Each walk has a leader who will guide the walk and stop along the way for readings and reflection. The walks are appropriate for all ages including families and children.
