UP Wild Gathering Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Eagle River Falls (Gather at the Houghton Township Pavilion next to the Eagle River Museum) The UP Wild Gatherings are opportunities to connect with God and each other within our natural world. Each Gathering has a leader who will guide the participants through readings and reflection. The Gatherings are appropriate for all ages, including families and children. Everyone is welcome, no religious affiliation is necessary.
The Keweenaw Symphony Orchestra at Michigan Tech is performing the Resurrection Symphony by Gustav Mahler on April 18, 2026, at the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts. It is the finale of the Rozsa’s 25th anniversary season. The symphony lasts an hour and a half and is the largest choral-orchestral work ever presented in the Upper Peninsula. This will be the first performance of the Resurrection Symphony in the Upper Peninsula, 132 years after its composition. The symphony is massive, with 10 horns, 8 trumpets, 4 trombones, an off-stage brass choir, two harps, organ, large symphonic choir, and soloists. Members
