Better Together will meet on Thursday, August 13 at 9:30 at the Zion Lutheran Church on 400 Ingot Street in Hancock. The speaker and special music will be provided by Yvonne Blake of Ontonagon.  Yvonne is a professional recording artist and composer. In addition to her music, she will speak on, “Women Walking With Women.”  Her topic fits perfectly with the goal of Better Together. All area women are invited to attend this fun and inspiring event. Copper Shores Outreach & Education is hosting CPR Training on Monday, August 17 and Monday, September 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Twin Lakes Volunteer Fire Department. Training costs $55 per person, with a maximum capacity of eight people.   The American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED/Blended Learning training program includes first aid, CPR and AED instruction in a preliminary online course (that will take about two hours to complete), followed by a hands-on, in-person skills session with trainers that will take about two hours.   Registration is open now at coppershores.org.
