Village of L’Anse/DDA announces its free 2025 Lakefront Concerts schedule, kicking off Thursday, June 12 at 7 PM with the blues and cajun music of UP Gumbo. The concerts are held every Thursday in the beautiful lakefront park at the foot of Broad Street at the lake. Community Rummage Sale and FLASH ticket sale The Houghton County Fair will be hosting a rummage sale in the fair’s exhibit building on the fairgrounds, 1500 Birch Street, in Hancock.  The sale will be on Saturday, June 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with 8 vendors. Local law enforcement invited to mental health crisis training June 17-18, 2025 The following press release was posted on our website on May 30, 2025.   The City of Houghton Police Department and Copper Shores Outreach & Education invite all local law enforcement agencies and officers to a free, two-day training aimed at equipping first responders with tools to handle behavioral health emergencies.
