Copper Shores Outreach & Education is hosting CPR Training on Monday, September 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Twin Lakes Volunteer Fire Department. Training costs $55 per person, with a maximum capacity of eight people. The American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED/Blended Learning training program includes first aid, CPR and AED instruction in a preliminary online course (that will take about two hours to complete), followed by a hands-on, in-person skills session with trainers that will take about two hours. Registration is open now at coppershores.org. Registration will close when it is full.
Bingo Bonanza is back at The Bluffs on Thursday Community members are invited to the fourth annual Bingo Bonanza at The Bluffs on Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 6 to 8 p.m. Hosted by The Bluffs Senior Community and Copper Shores Community Health Foundation, all proceeds from this fun-filled fundraiser support our local Meals on Wheels program.

On Saturday, September 19, the Marquette County Suicide Prevention Alliance, along with several community organizations, businesses, and community members, will gather for the annual Marquette Cunty Walk for Hope to benefit local suicide prevention and postvention programming in Marquette Cunty. The annual walk will be held in person in Ishpeming at Al Quaal. The Walk Committee urges all community members to attend to honor the spirit of the event and recognize the importance of suicide prevention while supporting suicide loss survivors, attempt survivors, and the families and loved ones of those who struggle.
