Rheingans on covering physical, dental, and mental health care. *  Ask questions, share your story, and join the fight for healthcare as a human right. This town hall will focus on proposed Michigan legislation for single-payer.

Treat Street — Downtown Houghton Oct. 18 | 4–6 p.m. | Shelden Avenue Downtown Houghton’s favorite Halloween tradition returns for its 16th year! Dress up and hit Shelden Avenue for an evening of community-wide trick-or-treating. Local businesses and organizations will hand out candy along the downtown strip, creating a safe and festive atmosphere for families. Start anywhere along Shelden Avenue — no need to line up or check in — and please wait until 4 p.m. before collecting treats.

October 22         Open Up Our Care Town Hall 6:30 pm, ET         Keweenaw Unitarian Universalist fellowship, 604 Bridge St., Houghton This will feature Dr. Abdul El-Sayed, who will speak and also moderate a panel of local people who will address the coming changes to Medicaid, ACA, etc., and alternatives to change things.
